a little bragging ...

Daughter Chloe is already quite an accomplished artist. She has been selling her work for about a year now and is breaking into illustration. Currently she is working in fabric (learning to sew from a friend who is a real creative master), clay (working with Megan Bogonovich) and taking two art classes at school which she loves with fantastic teachers. She's a busy 15 yr old! The above little illustrations are samples of what she is cooking up for some handmade cards she is going to release later this spring. They were inspired by our dear neighbors who are expecting in July. I am pretty excited about her work! Bragging time over - thanks for indulging me!

Oh the year winds down and the winds blow cold. The snow blankets the ground with a frosty crunch. Time marches on through the final days of 2009. It's been the best decade of my life. Thank you all for being a part of the last half here at my little blog! Wishing you the kindest and love filled last days with those who mean most to you. Taking a little blog break until the New Year breaks through! Be back with some new art, some new interviews and much fun.

it's warm inside! Brrrr it's cold out now though.Old man winter has blown in quickly. Don't you like thinking about warm mittens, fires and snuggly blankets though? I am also quite fond of wrapping my head around the next two months of celebrations in our household. We have so much to be thankful for and our gallery is certainly on that list! As Melanie pointed out with her post here, be mindful of the small happiness. What small joys have you found lately? I will let my photos do the talking below

Rainer :: Part II :two birds

June was a month of parties

What great fun was the month of June! I hate to say goodbye to it, but there it goes. Last night's birthday soiree was illuminated with lovely sparklers, cool weather - so much that blankets had to appear, and salads a plenty.
As June flew by, I missed responding to Beate's meme, so here goes in a 7 + 7 format.
